EXPERT TIP

The pad should be placed so that it does not touch the waterline. Even if the customer's eye is closed, the edge of the pad must be visible. If it is not, it touches the upper water line and thus irritates the eye. 

Should small hairs slip out from under the pad, papertape can help. Since the paper tape, also called micropore, is much thinner, it does not irritate the eye.
